The
proceeds made from sales of Mrs B's dog
treats during the year and from the Clicker
Fun Day came to a grand total of £485!

and the Oldies Club who will receive cheques

Thanks
everyone for all the hard work and the support
shown on the day.It is much appreciated.
Mrs B won the raffle prize which allows
her to choose the charity for the forthcoming
year's charity event and sales. I choose
the other one. Watch this space for news
of which!
April 2008
Another Good
Citizen testing meant Keith and Jensen and
Sarah and Milllie gained their Bronze awards.
The judge was Andy Jones. Thanks Andy for
helping us out and giving up your time.
February 2008
Catching
up on some of the news from the past few
months...quite a few people from various
classes have qualified their dogs for Crufts. Nichola
and Tibetan Terrier Keira (Puppy Class and Ringcraft), Caroline with Shiba Inu
Belle and Yoshi (Puppy, Family Dog and Competition
classes),
Marianne and John with Malinois Rio and
Ripley (Puppy and Competition classes), Glyn with Shar Pei Poppy (Ringcraft) and Janine and Chris with Novia
Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, Teko (Family
Dog class).
We
wish you all the best of luck! :-)
July 2007
My own Griff,
Darkbeck Spring, was a good boy at Deben
Valley show on the 8th July where he won
Test B! Not that he isn't always a
good boy, but its not always in accordance
with what KC obedience tests require! Well
done Griff...he's a star! :-)
June 2007
KC
Good Citizen tests
Congratulations
to Sue and Meg, Graham and Tigger
and Charlie and Freya for all gaining their
Bronze Good Citizen test last week. Well
done! Thanks to Kim Hodge for braving the
less than hospitable weather to come out
and judge them
.
Wins!
Congratulations
to Caroline (Friday night) and her Shiba
Inu, Yoshi (aka Marilouvales Babycham) (ex
Puppy class) for winning a 1st and the Reserve
CC at Border Union! Excellent news.Another
one off to Crufts next year.
Congratulations
to Jo Hill on gaining Schutzhund 2 with
Paris. The Schutzhund world seem to be noticing
that clicker training can work, nay, excell,
even in the most demanding of sports! Jo
is doing a training weekend for Teamwork
Training in January 2008, at Nettleham Village
Hall. Book early if you are interested.
Aimed mostly at competitve obedience, handlers
in heelwork to music as well as Schutzhund
are finding her motivational techniques
bring out more in their dogs than they thought
possible.
Well
done Glyn for qualifying her Shar Pei, Poppy,
(ringcraft) for Crufts. Onwards and upwards
I hope.
Puppies
for Mollie
Congratulations
Nichola and Mollie (ex Friday evening competitive
obedience class) on producing a healthy
litter of pups. All boys; mum and pups are
doing well.

A
broader view...
The
Oldies Club
is an organisation set up to help rehome
older dogs. If you have the room why not
find space for an oldie?
Qinrose
is
Glyn Whisby's prefix and this is her website.
Schutzhund
is
newish sport to the UK, but is very popular
in the USA and the Continent. It combines
obedience, agility and protection work

British obedience shows...where they are, results and news.
