Show Off!

Training days which look at show ring training and behaviour problems. Although very much aimed at handlers with their dogs, it is suitable for ringcraft trainers and judges who want to understand better why dogs misbehave in their ring or class.

By the end of the day you will have learned

• How to help a dog sparkle!
• How to motivate and reward dogs more effectively
• How to help  dog and handler communicate better
• The essentials of clicker training
• How to develop a training plan to progress what the dog learns on the day

Depending on who attends the course (and what problems they bring to it) it is likely you will have a better understanding of

• How a dog learns what is wanted of him
• Why dogs back off judges
• Why dogs show aggression
• Why dogs behave differently in the ring to how they do at ringcraft classes and at home
  
• The impact of stress on a dog's behaviour

Numbers are usually limited to 9 handlers. Spectators are also very welcome...learn through watching others at work. Show off! events are suitable for all ages, breeds and sizes of dogs. If your dog is aggressive (either towards people or dogs) please contact me for advice before booking a place..
